11 STRUGGLES YOU WILL RELATE WITH IF YOU WENT TO NGUVIU MEN HIGH SCHOOL (BLUXVILLE)

1.In second term when we experienced sleet and snow rain, you had to wear three trousers, four sweaters, Anorak jacket , Scarf ,Leg-warmers and more sweaters because Mt. Kenya was just a few meters away,but that cold was still merciless.




















2. Trying to stay awake during Mr. Mwakeria's (Agriculture) & Mr. Mwanake's (Biology) afternoon lessons especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays ; Father Kamau and Father Stressi unending sermons & 2-hour prayers were also a comeuppance.

3. When they'd start mentioning how “your father’s sold cows and goats to bring another cow/goat to Nguviu”.

4. In form one, the first time you were called to the assembly for the first time for not having socks and having an unbuttoned shirt.

 

5.In form Two when you heard the tea break bell ringing .

6. Feasting on the bread of those who didn’t “move” during tea break after a scram.







7.When your teacher extends 5 minutes into the lunch bell na ni siku ya nyama.
 



8.  Waiting for Tuesday and Thursday lunch outside the Dining Hall.

9. When Maddy,Kaka,Karugu or Ororo found you with a whole loaf of bread after a scram.

10. When you have extended in the dorm after 5.30 am bell and you hear people running.

11. When someone says you passed KCSE because you guys “get leakage” but only you know the struggles you went through.
